
[RECIPE] Soboro Don
This effortlessly easy and comforting Soboro rice bowl dish is perfect for everyone. The sweet and savory ground chicken which is called Soboro in Japanese, scrambled eggs, and green vegetables create a visually appetizing and balanced meal.

Ingredients:

2 bowls Cooked Rice
Seasoned Spinach

½ bunch Spinach

½ tbsp Sugar

½ tbsp Soy sauce

1 tbsp Ground sesame seeds
Soboro Chicken

8 oz Ground chicken
-
1 tbsp Sake
-
2 tbsp Soy sauce
-
1 tbsp Mirin
-
½ tbsp Sugar
Scrambled Egg
-
2 pcs Egg
-
1 tsp Sake
-
1 tsp Mirin
-
1 tsp Sugar

1 pinch Salt
Instructions:

Boil water and cook the spinach for one minute. Drain and transfer it to iced water. Squeeze out the excess water and cut into ½ inch pieces.

Mix the spinach with sugar, soy sauce, and sesame seeds in a bowl. Set aside.

In a pan, add ground chicken, sake, soy sauce, Mirin, and sugar. Cook it until the liquid evaporates using 4-5 chopsticks to make fine, crumbled chicken.

Beat the eggs in a bowl and add sake, mirin, sugar, and salt. Heat a pan, pour in the egg mixture on a low heat, and make fine scrambled eggs using chopsticks.

In a serving bowl, add cooked rice and top it with the spinach, ground chicken, and scrambled eggs.
