[RECIPE] Crispy Rice with Yuzu Salmon Taretare

If you are looking for a party appetizer, how about this Crispy Rice dish? The crunchy deep fried rice and the spicy kick of the salmon tartare match beautifully in one bite. 

 

Recipe

Serving: 10-12 pieces

Time: 90 minutes 

 

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Rice

  • 400 ml Water

  • Cooking oil for frying (Sanwa Rice Oil) 

 

Topping Ingredients

Salmon Taretare

  • 4 oz Salmon

  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce

  • 1 tsp Yuzu pepper 

 

Instructions 

  1. Cook rice by rinsing it and adding it to a rice cooker or pot along with water.

  2. Chop the salmon into small pieces and mixing it with mayonnaise, soy sauce, and yuzu pepper. Set aside.

  3. Once the rice is cooked, shape it into rectangular pieces.

  4. Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry each rice piece until both sides are golden and crispy.

  5. Assemble the salmon tartare on top of the fried crispy rice.

  6. Garnish with a small slice of lemon, chopped scallions, or sesame seeds if desired.
